Game Recap for 06/14/2008 7:05 PM

The Orange County Flyers made sure lightning would not strike twice in one day.

The Flyers (13-5) jumped out with a six run first inning in the final game of a three game series with the Reno SIlver Sox and never looked back en route to a 10-1 drubbing.

Troy Cate (1-0) pitched six solid innings, striking out nine and only allowing two hits with no walks in his first start as a Flyer.

Fernando Pacheco led the way offensively for O.C. going 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

The Flyers wasted no time getting revenge in game two as Patrick Breen (9) hit a monsterous three run homer over the trees in center field as the Flyers first five batters all scored before one out was recorded in the bottom of the first.

Travon Jackson made great use of his first AB as a Flyer, hitting an RBI triple down the left field line to extend the lead to six.

Jeff LaRue added a big home run over the right center field to put the Flyers up seven in the third for his third homer of the season.

In the bottom of the fifth, Mark Okano tacked on a two run shot to straight away center field for his ninth of the season, tieing him for the league lead with teammate Patrick Breen.

Eric Sheridan pitched the seventh for the Flyers.

Both teams have Sunday and Monday off before home series in their respective parks.

Orange County hosts Yuma Tuesday through Thursday in a three game series.

Reno heads back to Nevada to host Edmonton.
