The Orange County Flyers were swept out of Yuma Sunday night despite a complete game effort from Bob Cramer and a dramatic 9th inning rally.  Yuma (18-15) won 7-5 at Desert Sun Stadium and took the season series from the Flyers 7 to 6.

The Flyers trailed by a run most of the night until Jose Rodriguez delivered a crushing three-run homerun in the 8th inning to open up a four run gap.  The Flyers stranded the tying runs on base in the 9th inning as a two-out rally fell just short.

Jermy Acey's 8th homerun of the season tied the game in the 5th inning, but a Rich Janeway triple was a quick answer for Yuma in the bottom of the 5th.

The Flyers (21-9) still hold a 4.5 game lead in the South Division over the Scorpions.
