Game Recap for 05/30/2008 7:05 PM

Jeremy Zick threw every pitch of the night for the Orange County Flyers, but his last one resulted in a game-winning double for Mikael Jova and the Yuma Scorpions.  Yuma took hold of first place in the South Division with a 3-2 win at Desert Sun Stadium.

The Scorpions (6-1) received a strong start from Mike Esposito and shutout relief from Anthony Romero and Jack Jensen, who earned his second win of the season.

Trailing 1-0, the Flyers took a 2-1 lead in the 4th inning after RBI hits from Brian Rios and Fernando Pacheco.

Zick gave up a run in the bottom of the 4th inning to tie the game, but limited the damage by getting a double play groundball from Hector Bernal, who homered in the 3rd inning.

The Scorpions robbed the Flyers of hits time after time including a Mark Okano near homerun in the 8th inning that was brought back by Jeremy Cleveland.

The Flyers (4-2) will look to split the four game series behind Zack Kalter Saturday night.
