Game Recap for 07/22/2008 7:05 PM

The Orange County Flyers got away with robbery Tuesday night at Bruce Hurst Field by stealing an 8-7 win over the St. George RoadRunners.  The Flyers were trailing 7-2 in the 8th inning with no one on base when a six run rally broke out in the 8th and 9th innings combined.

Jeff LaRue delivered a two-run pinch-hit double to pull the Flyers within 7-6 and cap a four-run 8th inning rally.  In the 9th, David Bacani tied the game with an RBI triple and scored the winning run on a Buddy Morales bases-loaded walk.

The Flyers received solid relief work from Ezequiel Ruvalcaba (2-2) and Dane De La Rosa (7th save) to close out their third straight victory.  Orange County (3-3) has now taken the first two games of this four game series.

Jesse Smith will look to continue the Flyers roll with a quality start in Utah on Wednesday night.
