Game Recap for 05/24/2008 7:00 PM

The Flyers swept their way through Reno Saturday night by continuing their offensive onslaught on SilverSox pitching with three more homeruns in a 9-7 win at Peccole Park.

Birthday boy Jermy Acey cracked his second homerun of the doubleheader in support of a solid showing from the Flyers bullpen.  SP Jeremy Zick had to leave the game after one inning with tightness in his back, but Charlie Merricks and Monte Mansfield combined to quell the Reno rallies.

Patrick Breen and Fernando Pacheco contributed with their second homeruns of the season, but it was veteran Buddy Morales, who came up with the game-winning hit in the 7th inning.

RP Ezequiel Ruvalcaba pitched a scoreless bottom of the 7th inning to earn his first save of the year.

The Flyers (3-0) will look to stay undefeated as they begin a 10-day road trip on Wednesday night in Yuma.
