Game Recap for 07/20/2008 5:05 PM![]()
Bob Cramer waited patiently for his offense to score some runs Sunday evening and when they finally broke out, he responded with a complete game victory. The Flyers 4-1 win was keyed by a four-run 6th inning rally that was aided by two Long Beach Armada errors. Cramer pitched seven strong innings giving up only three hits and one unearned run. He struck out eight batters en route to his third victory of the season. Earlier in the day, the Armada took game one of the doubleheader 4-2 behind a strong start from Rik Currier. Currier struck out eight batters giving up only one earned run on three hits. He outdueled Andre Simspon who struck out ten batters in a hard luck loss. Travon Jackson was the Flyers offensive star for the day with three hits, while making his debut in the leadoff position in the lineup. |
