 CHICO, Calif---The Orange County Flyers did their part on Friday night, handling the Chico Outlaws 8-2 at Nettleton Stadium in Chico.

Nick Guerra's two run homer and Julian Benavidez' 2-3 night with a triple, double, and two runs scored highlighted the best offensive attack from O.C. in some time. 

Jesse Smith was brilliant in what figures to be his last start, tossing seven innings while scattering four hits and holding Chico to just one run to improve to 10-5 on the year.

Despite the Flyer's success on Friday, the Tucson Toros knocked the Flyers out of playoff contention with an 11-5 drubbing of the St. George RoadRunners in Tucson meaning the Flyers will conclude their season in Chico on Monday.
