Game Recap for 06/16/2009 7:05pm PM

SAINT GEORGE, Utah---The home cooking has transferred itself to the road.
The Orange County Flyers (9-9) continued their winning ways with a 5-4 victory over the St. George RoadRunners (15-8) Tuesday night at Bruce Hurst Field.
Travis Becktel's first home run of the season broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth and the Flyers never looked back en route to their eighth consecutive victory.
The see saw battle saw each team commit three errors a piece with the Flyers taking advantage a pair to get back into the game while limiting the damage on the defensive end.
Trailing 2-0 in the second, newly acquired Juan Senreiso singled with two outs and went from first to third on a drop pick off throw by St. George first basemen A.J. Valentine. Frank LoNigro then delivered a two out knock to get the Flyers on the board.
Robert Fick tied the game in the third with a sacrifice play to plate Damian Jackson.
The RoadRunners quickly regained the lead after Juan Serrano doubled in the bottom of the inning and scored on Yosvanny Almario's RBI groundout.
The Flyers grabbed their first lead in the fifth as a double steal scored Damian Jackson and put Nick Guerra on second. Julian Benavidez then doubled home Guerra to put O.C. up one.
St. George responded again with Almario driving in his second run of the game with a single.
However, Becktel's shot proved to be the deciding run as neither team could score the rest of the game.
Flyer's closer Bryan Harris got into a jam in the ninth with the tying run on third and winning run on second but induced Almario into a groundout for his fifth save of the season.
Flyer's starter Jesse Smith improves to 3-2 after allowing 4 runs in six innings but exiting with the lead. Eric Van Slyke drops to 2-2 despite only allowing two earned runs.
For Orange County the win puts them back at .500 after an 0-8 start with all nine of their wins coming in the last 10 games.
The win pulls them within 4.5 of St. George for first place in the Southern Division and into a tie for second place with the Long Beach Armada.
The two teams continue their series in St. George on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled 7:05 p.m. (MDT).
