ORANGE COUNTY FLYERS HOME TO PLAY ST. GEORGE AND ‘DIG FOR DIAMONDS’

FULLERTON, Calif. (7/2/2009) – After having several days off to recuperate from the grueling Golden Baseball League season, the Orange County Flyers are home Saturday and Sunday nights to play three against the GBL Southern Division-leading St. George Roadrunners, a team the Flyers, who are tied with Long Beach for second, trail by six games in the standings.

While Saturday night’s game starts at 7 p.m., Sunday is a doubleheader (each game is seven innings a piece), starting at 5 p.m.

But making Sunday even more fun is the “Dig for Diamonds” event, sponsored by Robbins Bros., that will occur on the field after the two games. And getting a chance to find riches at the friendly confines of Goodwin Field at Cal State Fullerton couldn’t be easier.

Registering to take part in the event is a simple three-step process: 1) just visit Robbins Bros. at 255 Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton to sign up and receive one free ticket for the doubleheader; 2) join in on the fun on this fantastic doubleheader afternoon with lots of fan-friendly entertainment; and 3) check in at the stadium’s “Fan Depot” during the games and get ready to “Dig for Diamonds” after the second game!
