Coal Train

Hey there fans!

It’s me, the Chief Engineer of the Flyers Rally Train – COAL TRAIN!! For those of you who don’t know me yet, here’s a little bit about myself. I began as an apprentice to a local engineer in Fullerton. Before long I began to love the “life on the rails” as an engineer. As time went by I began to notice the lights of Goodwin Field off in the distance as we passed through on the railway. One night, while we were stopped at the Santa Fe Train Depot in downtown Fullerton, I headed over to the Cal State Fullerton campus to see what the lights were for, and watched a Titan Baseball game from the cover of the trees in the Fullerton Arboretum just behind the right field fence. Much like trains, I quickly fell in love with baseball as well – but knowing that humans and coyotes really don’t mix well, I figured that the only way I could enjoy the games from inside the stadium would be to become the mascot! Luckily for me, along came the Golden Baseball League – and the Flyers – and I immediately offered to be the team mascot. After we worked out the scheduling with my time on the railroad, I officially joined the Flyers and was welcomed aboard on March 31, 2005.

I made my first public appearance Saturday, May 7th as part of the festivities in the Flyers Select-A-Seat Day II. Now you can find me at all the Flyers home games, and on the off days when I’m not working on the railway, you can find me out and about in the community. If you want me to come and hang out at a party or any other kind of function, I’d be glad to come out and entertain you and your friends
.

Just send me an email at my very own email address -- coaltrain@orangecountyflyers.com! I bet you don’t know any other Coyotes who use email, do ya?

Thanks for checking out my cool new web page, and I can’t wait to see you out at Goodwin Field for the next Flyers game!

Make sure to bring your train whistle and let out a rally howl for me!
